Special Notes

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOUR CHILD HAS ANY ALLERGIES.  

For your child’s safety, written permission is required if your child is to be picked up from school by anyone other than yourself (legal guardian).  

Children must arrive and be picked up on time. Arrival time is 9:05 – 9:20 for the morning session. Dismissal is 11:50 at the D-Wing door. The afternoon session begins at 12:40 for the “Kids Incorporated” children. Dismissal is at 3:15 at the D-Wing door.

Show & Tell is scheduled for Monday.  Please encourage your child to bring in one item to share at circle time with us.  

We enjoy celebrating each child’s birthday.  If you wish to have a school party, we have found by experience that mini-cupcakes/brownies/cookies/ice cream cups/donut holes have been the easiest for the children to enjoy.  Please send in enough treats or other food for both classes because we celebrate together.

In the event of a one hour delayed opening, A.M. session is usually held.  For longer delays, there is generally no A.M. session.  The P.M. session will generally be held at the regularly scheduled time.

In case of unscheduled early dismissal, the P.M. program is generally cancelled.  If you are unsure, please contact the school (846-3100 ext. 3099 or 3100) and ask to speak with a member of the preschool staff.  

As part of our curriculum, we like to take several field trips with the afternoon children during the school year.  Most of the trips are scheduled on Fridays. We depend upon parent drivers to make these trips possible.  

We are looking for bikes for outside play.  Big Wheels, Fisher Price, Little Tykes, or other durable toys are gladly accepted.  

It is very important that you contact the transportation department when your child will not be riding the bus on his or her scheduled days.  The phone numbers are:

Please contact your child’s teacher if your child is ill and will not be reporting to school (846-3600 ext. 3099 or 3100).  

In addition to our classroom activities, the children receive “Preschool Music” on Thursdays.  The children in the afternoon will have a scheduled physical education class on a day to be determined by the school. We will let you know the day as soon as it has been decided upon from Mrs. Ives. The children in the morning session will have music on “F” days with Mrs. Rubinson.
